Bridge Marina Highlights the Colorful Past (and Present) of Lake Hopatcong
Bridge Marina has been honored to host an “Artist in Residence” per se earlier this summer. Esteemed artist Jim Kovic has been busily working on a mural project that – after weeks of work under the summer sun – has finally come to completion. His mural, “Greetings from Lake Hopatcong,” is a two-sided, stunning and vibrant portrayal of Lake Hopatcong with nods to both the lake’s present and eclectic past. The project, which now adorns both sides of our once blank fuel tank, is based upon an old postcard and highlights all things Lake Hopatcong, including area wildlife, canoes, boats, the historic fountain at Hopatcong State Park, and more.
Jim Kovic is a native of Highlands, New Jersey; his work can be found and admired throughout the Garden State, including spots in Sea Bright, Asbury Park, Highlands, and Manalapan… and now Lake Hopatcong!
It has been an absolute pleasure to watch Jim’s talent as he’s busily painted away and we are honored to host his latest piece here on Lake Hopatcong. We hope our guests enjoy “Greetings from Lake Hopatcong” as much as we do, and for many years to come!
