Pontoon Boat Layouts… Seating Matters!
Shopping for a new or used pontoon boat? We suggest our guests hop aboard any boat they’re considering and get a good feel for the layout and seating configuration of the boat. We also suggest our guests keep in mind what they intend to do on their boat – and how many guests they intend to bring along – as they look at the various pontoon boat models for sale.
We’ve put together a quick video that shows you how a pontoon boat’s seating configuration can make a big difference on a boat’s capacity.
Why does a pontoon boat’s layout matter?
When you’re shopping for a new or used pontoon boat, layout and furniture matters for lots of reasons… a boat’s capacity and comfort are definitely top of mind. For example, gorgeous, large loungers on a pontoon boat can be perfect for couples, smaller groups or families – who doesn’t love basking in the sun on a large, comfy couch with their feet up on a lazy day at the lake? But, large lounger-type furniture can decrease the number of passengers who can safely (and comfortably) tag along on your boating adventures. A configuration that takes those loungers out and replaces them with couches or other higher-capacity seating could be a better choice for some. Knowing what you want to do with your boat – and who you want to take along with you – definitely helps narrow down your choices, and should definitely play into your boat purchase decision-making.
